Meet A Healthier You, Inc. Founder, President, Secretary, and Board Members.

Ma’Sheka is a licensed yoga instructor teaching in various locations in Prince George’s County, MD. Currently, Ma’Sheka is an experienced 500 Hour Registered Yoga Instructor. She offers private lessons, group classes, virtual classes, and life coaching. Ma’Sheka received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and her Master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration focusing on Leadership and Organizational Change. Ma’Sheka loves to read, write, hike, be with nature, and practice yoga. She believes yoga is a way of life as it has helped her with anxiety and managing stress. She is a blogger and author who encourages others to be their best self by spreading positivity with affirmations and sharing her light. Ma’Sheka is a certified Community Health Worker and a Tobacco Treatment Specialist, focusing on integrative approaches to assist others to adopt and maintain healthy lifestyles. Her desire is to provide yoga services to disadvantaged communities to help them cope with different stressors and developing healthy practices.

Dr. Austin is a dedicated and compassionate leader who brings over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry. With a focus on healthcare business optimization, she brings a wealth of knowledge in areas such as operations, process improvement, and leadership development.
She has worked in large healthcare organizations helping to enhance efficiency and program scalability. Through various leadership roles, she has had the opportunity to mentor and develop individuals from all walks of life. She is passionate about motivating others to become their best selves through personal and faith-based development. Dr. Austin has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in Community Health Education, and a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration.

Megan Sheehy is an Economist at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Economic Analysis. With eight years of experience across various industries, Megan has worked in economist roles at S&P Global, Mercaris, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Megan earned a Master of Science in Agricultural Business and Economics from Auburn University and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from Southern University and A&M College. In her free time, Megan enjoys hiking trails, traveling, and visiting local coffee shops.

Gardy, a seasoned operations leader with over a decade of experience, is dedicated to empowering underserved communities through high-quality social services. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Gardy’s passion for helping others drives his commitment to improving organizational efficiency and patient outcomes.

As a results-oriented professional, Gardy has successfully led medium and large-scale social service programs, fostering collaboration within the social service ecosystem to address critical gaps in care. His expertise in developing and implementing innovative initiatives has led to enhanced community engagement and improved outcomes. Known for his inclusive leadership style, Gardy creates a safe and equitable work environment that values diversity and fosters a sense of belonging.

Marlina Tadesse is originally from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and is now based in Silver Spring, MD. Her professional background spans economics, international relations, and risk management, but at the heart of her work is a passion for helping people and communities grow stronger. Marlina knows firsthand the importance of community and holistic healing; practices that connect the mind, body, and soul have helped her stay grounded and balanced in her own life. She is excited to bring that perspective to A Healthier You, Inc. as Treasurer, supporting the mission to make wellness accessible and sustainable for everyone.

Mack Dawson is a regenerative visionary, award-winning Massage Practitioner, and dedicated Community Actionist with a global perspective shaped by travels around the world. Practicing holistic healing since 2006, Mack holds over 15 professional accolades and is known for transformative bodywork rooted in compassion, kindness, and empathy.
He is the architect of multiple holistic continuums that focus on people over profit, blending wisdom and lived experience with innovative, community-centered frameworks designed for collective vitality and serenity.
Mack is deeply committed to service, donating bodywork to nurses, first responders, and veterans as part of his outreach to support the people helping the people. As a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor, certified in harm reduction, and a gun violence disruptor, he brings critical tools to spaces where healing is most needed and prioritizes the belief that prosperity doesn't have to be reserved for the privileged.
